Patrick (Padraig) H. Pearse 1879-1916 medal with a suspension loop commemorating the death of Padraig Pearse after the 1916 Rising in Ireland.  The reverse is a quotation from the text of Pearse's graveside oration at the funeral of Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa on the 1st August 1915.  Weighs approx 12.6g and diameter of 33mm.

"Ireland unfree shall never be at peace (from an oration) by Padraig Mac Piarais Poet, author and Patriot.  Commander-in-Chief of Republican Army.  Easter 1926"
