This is an unmarked number five cast iron skillet. It is labelled 8 Inch
Skillet, and has a small letter H. It is likely a Wagner or Griswold or
Lodge that was left un-branded for certain markets.
It has no county of origin stamp which indicates it was made prior to
1960.
I bought it in rough shape and used electrolysis to clean it. I applied
three coats of sunflower oil to season the pan. I then cooked an egg on
it and ate it.
It has a smooth cooking surface unlike modern cast iron. It also has
various dings and dents from age
