About Than Merrill:

Than Merrill is one of the foremost real estate investors and educators in  the country. Founder of CT Homes, LLC and FortuneBuilders.com, he is a  nationally recognized expert in real estate investing, real estate education,  entrepreneurship, and marketing. A sought-after speaker, Than Merrill has shared  the stage with speakers such as former first lady Laura Bush, Tony Robbins,  Sarah Palin, Donald Trump, and Robert Kiyosaki.

Born in Fresno, CA, Than attended Yale University where he also played football.  After graduating, Than was drafted into the NFL and played with the Chicago  Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After football Than discovered he could be as passionate about real estate  investing as he was with football.
With the success of his business Than was asked to keynote speak at many real  estate conferences around the country. Than discovered he loved teaching and  sharing his knowledge with aspiring investors. In 2006, he founded  FortuneBuilders, a real estate educational company dedicated to giving students  the training, resources and systems to invest in real estate.

A few years later Than was approached by A&E to be the New Haven cast of the hit  TV reality show “Flip this House.” Each episode documented Than and his business  partner Paul as they flipped properties in New Haven, CT and San Diego, CA. Than  shot many seasons with the show as it was the first reality real estate show of  it’s kind and it has since helped spawn many other real estate reality shows.

One of his favorite investing methods, Wholesaling is a key strategy to his  investment success and the Wholesaling Bible was a passion project for Than,  allowing him to share his knowledge and love of marketing and investing in real  estate.

Today, Than’s investment business, CT Homes, continues to thrive in Southern  California where he as many as 20-40 active real estate projects going on at any  given time. Than currently invests in both residential and commercial  properties.
