Available in 200m Reels or smaller packs of 2m, 5m, 10m, 25m, please select cord type and length from the options.

Cord in brown. Has similar strength and characteristics to white, but made in polypropylene. It looks very handsome on the back of a quality framing job.

No.1 / 1.6mm - 89kg - Suggested maximum picture weight - 22kg

No.2 / 2.2mm - 150kg - Suggested maximum picture weight - 37kg

No.3 / 2.5mm - 184kg - Suggested maximum picture weight - 46kg

As a guide, to allow for 'shock' loading, the picture weight should be no more than about one quarter of the breaking strain

Made for us by the same UK manufacturers for many years and braided using polyester or polypropylene fibre.

- Neither fibre will rot or degrade over time. They will not absorb moisture from the atmosphere which can change the characteristics of some cords.

- Less than 1% stretch carrying a 15kg frame.

Hints for safer and reliable picture hanging

- Select the right cord and practice tying secure knots.

- Use suitable hangers on the frame such as one-hole or two-hole D Rings. (Not Included)

- Suggest to customers that for larger frames, they hang them on two hooks spaced apart. This spreads the load and makes the frame more stable. Bumpers on the bottom corners help stability.(Not included)
