The basket is vintage, and 'as new'.
It was well stored and is fresh and new looking. It would make a lovely gift.
It was intended to be a sewing basket, but would be good for storing many items, from little bottles of shampoo to stationary supplies. It would make an excellent server for bread or rolls.
There is a lid, attached to the lining. The shaped lining fits neatly over the edge and sits inside the basket.
