COUNTRY CONNECTION (1981)
GWR 2-6-2 Prairie tank locomotive No 5572 pauses at a country station while passengers transfer to the connecting local bus—Bedford WLB—in the 1930s. Nearly 2,000 Bedford WLB twenty-seat buses were built between 1931 and 1935, mostly for small owner-drivers. Three have been preserved.
