POSTER STAMPS WILD ANIMALS ZEBRA RHINO GORILLA GIRAFFE ELEPHANT HIPPOPOTAMUS SUCHARD

 

This is a marvellous set of 12 poster stamps edited by Chocolate Suchard in Spain. The set represents series n. 19 from a limited series of 24 different topics (viz ; animals, flowers, monuments etc) published by Suchard in the early 1930’s.

The stamps with text in Spanish were inserted inside the chocolate plates between the wrapper and the aluminium foil for children to collect them.

The collection is complete which add to the extreme difficulty of having all of them stay together after almost a century of age. The stamps are made of thin paper with dimension 1.18 x 1.97 inches with publicity text in the rear.
