Original commemorative medal stamped May 12, 1937, in honor of the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Kept in the original velvet-lined box with a ribbon to lift the coin. 

The padded case has a snap-close and shows some wear due to age. The Ribbon that lifts the coin has frayed due to age.

The case measures 2 5/8 inches x 2 5/8 inches x 5/8 inches.

The metal content of the medal is unknown. It is bronze in color and in pristine condition.

The original owner of the medal was among those at the public gathering for the coronation.
