Collectible mid 19th century three piece treen spice mortar and pestle. The lid/ pestle lifts out featuring has a metal grater plate on the base which grinds the herbs and spices between that and the grater metal plate on the inside base of the mortar. The mortar is in two sections that twist in order to collect the ground spices and herbs. Measures 7" high x 2 3/4" diameter and is in Excellent antique condition free of any nicks, cracks or any major wear, does have some spice residue, looks to be Nutmeg. A fine addition to any home or collection!
