The AudioBar powered sound bar kit is designed to easily provide improved audio quality from your TV without the hassle or complexity of a complete surround sound system. This completely self-contained system delivers a wide soundstage with low distortion full-range output that can greatly enhance your movie and gaming experience. With detailed high frequency output, accurate midrange response, and powerful bass capability, the AudioBar delivers big sound from its compact 4” x 4” x 42” footprint. Featuring line level, optical, and HDMI inputs, the AudioBar is compatible with almost any modern TV and with Bluetooth you can steam audio directly from your phone, tablet, or other wireless device. Powering the AudioBar is a custom version of the Dayton Audio SBA302-BT sound bar amplifier. This 2 x 30 watt amplifier drives 4 Dayton Audio DMA80-8 3" aluminum cone full-range drivers with 4 DMA80-PR passive radiators to deliver excellent output capability with natural response. This passive radiator assisted design controls the active drivers’ excursion making it possible to significantly extend the bass output from such a compact design. The included SBA302-BT amplifier is preloaded with custom DSP to maximize the output potential allowing the AudioBar to produce satisfying bass without the need for a separate subwoofer. In addition, the active drivers operate in a 1.5-way configuration using a simple passive crossover that directs the high frequency output only to the outermost drivers. This configuration gives the AudioBar the ability to create a wide soundstage with pinpoint imaging that is needed for a convincing theater like experience. In addition, separate EQ presets ensure optimal audio for both movies and music. _x000D_

Unique design that combines the classic appearance of hardwood with modern styling gives the AudioBar a one-of-a-kind look. Solid walnut baffles make it easy to achieve the timeless look of fine furniture that can be finished to become a focal point or paint it all black to seamlessly blend into any décor. The rest of the CNC cut enclosure is constructed of premium 1/2” birch plywood to minimize weight and provide an easy to finish surface. We paid special attention when designing the enclosure to make it easy to assemble and apply a professional looking finish. At 42” wide, the AudioBar is the perfect size for use with 50” or larger televisions. _x000D_

About the Dayton Audio DMA80-8 and DMA80-PR _x000D_

Designed for the highest performance while delivering maximum value, the no compromise design of the DMA80-8 produces true full-range output capability with minimal distortion. The motor uses dual neodymium magnets creating a strong and symmetrical magnetic field providing high efficiency with excellent cone control. The magnet assembly also includes a large copper cap and sleeve to lower inductance and distortion resulting in improved high frequency response. The 2-layer 1" voice coil is wound on a vented aluminum former providing excellent heat dissipation for high power handling and low power compression. A rubber surround and large spider keeps the lightweight aluminum cone linear with superb mechanical damping. In addition, the aluminum dust cap is attached directly to the voice coil former to improve high frequency response with terrific off axis performance. Holding everything together is a proprietary 12-spoke frame with an extremely open design that has extensive venting under the spider and ample room for high excursion. _x000D_

The DMA80-PR 3" passive radiator from Dayton Audio is the perfect option for achieving low tuning frequencies from the smallest enclosure designs. This incredibly small passive radiator has all the features you would expect lager units including adjustable mass, aluminum cone, and rubber surround. Visually identical to Dayton Audio's full-range DMA series drivers, the DMA80-PR can also be used with any small driver that requires a low tuning frequency. The threaded rod and included wing nut on the back of the cone makes it easy to add mass to tune the radiator as needed for your projects. _x000D_

The AudioBar uses a custom version of the SBA302-BT sound bar amplifier from Dayton Audio that uses the on board DSP and specific EQ presets to get the most out of this design. With separate input/amplifier, control, and IR modules the AudioBar sound bar is loaded with all the common features found on prebuilt systems. _x000D_

For simple connection to almost any television, the SBA302-BT features a variety of input options, including line level, optical, and HDMI ARC. All of the wired inputs are recessed into the power/input module allowing you design a low-profile sound bar that can mount extremely close to a wall. In addition, a Bluetooth input gives you the ability to stream audio directly from your phone, tablet, or other wireless device. _x000D_

As an added convenience the SBA302-BT includes two methods of control. The first is the wired control module which gives you the ability to control power, input, and volume directly from your sound bar. The second option is the IR remote control for convenient operation directly from the comfort of your seat. Also, a unique remote learning feature allows you to use any existing IR remote to control the most common functions of the SBA302-BT. _x000D_

About the Knock-Down Enclosure _x000D_

The enclosure panels are all CNC milled to tight tolerances ensuring easy assembly. The majority of the enclosure consists for premium quality 1/2" Baltic birch plywood for minimal weight without sacrificing durability. The drivers' baffles are cut from 1/2" solid walnut to give the AudioBar a one-of-a-kind look that includes the timeless style of real wood. Recesses for flush mounting the drivers and the opening for all of the amplifier components are pre-cut, making assembly a snap. _x000D_
