I'm offering an antique Japanese Nata / Tanto for sale. Natas are rather rare and frequently refered to as head cutters while they are probably more of an utility knife / tool. The Koshirae features nice lacquer work, a Shakudo / Copper Habaki and ensuite made Shibuichi Tsuba, Fuchi as well as Saya mounts. The blade looks to have ben made in the Edo periode and is unsigned. The is dark rust on the Nakaho. The blade is handforged but NOT tempered and should be seen as an utility knife / tool. It is not a piece of art.  The pictures pretty much tell it all.
