As with most hardware technology, manufactures only support them for a short time. The phone is in working order however it may not connect to your skype service do to the fact that it is an older and now unsupported model. Some devices can be reprogrammed for use on other platforms if you are tech savvy and know how to install new operating systems and firmware. Please do your research prior to buying!
