About: The work of Rick Castro who is an independent filmmaker, photographer and curator living in Los Angeles his entire life. His work has been published in artist editions, exhibitions and institutions worldwide. Castro's works are in the permanent collections of The Alfred Kinsey Institute and The Tom Of Finland Foundation. His photography has been featured in Art in America, Flaunt, Attitude UK, DNA and Tetu magazines. He was the west coast editor for Studio Magazines, (Blue, Black & White) Australia from 2001- 2007.

Castro has photographed for designer Rick Owens's fashion shows during 2006- 2007. Owens presented Castro's photography in Paris for the Tranoi Homme in Paris, 2007. Castro co-wrote and co-directed the iconic film Hustler White staring Tony Ward. Premiering at the 1996 Sundance Film Festival, Hustler White receiving both high praises and scorn from industry critics.
