There are several different versions of ProMedia 2.1 with different connector types.

This is a new version control pod for Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Computer speakers.
It is bluetooth enabled and can convert your regular none bluetooth ProMedia 2.1 into Bluetooth Speakers (DB9 connector only, refer to pictures).
If your old control pod is missing or broken, or you want to add bluetooth capability, this is just what you need.
It will work on Promedia 2.1 Speakers with the DB9 Connector. It works on both the Bluetooth edition and none Bluetooth edition. When paired with the none Bluetooth edition, it will add bluetooth capability to the speakers.
It has a switch button that allows you to switch input source between bluetooth and regular 3.5mm minijack audio source.
The subwoofer cable is detachable from the control pod.
The control pod does not need to be attached to the speaker.
You can place it conveniently in a spot that is easy to reach.
You can simply connect this control pod to your subwoofer/speakers
and your sound device (MP3 Player, Computer, Cellphone etc., or any device that has bluetooth connections)
