Broken plastic release lever on pull strap, unable to lock or unlock roller shutter
THE FAULT
The original release lever is made of weak plastic which easily breaks.
The pull straps on the roller shutters come with a plastic release lever to lock and unlock the roller. The plastic is very weak and often cracks and ultimately breaks, leaving you unable to operate the pull strap mechanism.
Direct replacement pull straps will come with the same design of release lever, so it will break again in future.
3D printed plastic items seem to suffer the same fate.
THE SOLUTION
Fit our unique design Metal release lever to your strap and restore function for the life of the vehicle
This is the X8R improved design release lever. It is CNC machined from one solid peice of aluminium (Billet) and anodised Black to match the appearance of the OEM part. Our unique design part is far stronger than the original plastic design and designed for the life of the vehicle.
Our part simply attaches to your original strap and fits in exactly the same way as the original part.
The X8R kit comes with the fitting hardware; removable strap pin, pivot bush and flange screw. The pin has no protruding thread (unlike others available) so the pull strap will not fray where it attaches to the release lever.
The pin comes with threadlock pre-applied, to ensure a secure fit.
