-Description: This is the original artwork for the daily comic strip FIRST CALL by Alfred "Ben" Wicks (1926-2000; a British-Canadian cartoonist).  "First Call" was published as a panel in daily newspapers, and under the title "Wicks Week" as a panel in weekly newspapers.  Alternate titles for the panel were "Ben Wicks" and "One-A-Day".  The humorous 'gag-a-day' panel ran in both US and Canadian newspapers from 1965 through 1992.  This daily features an unemployed worker who discovers that his boss is standing in front of him at the unemployment office.  His "Hi Boss!" sounds unnecessarily happy.  Undated.  BR     

Condition: 

-The art is in excellent overall condition.  Minor age/handling wear.  Pencil notes to reverse.
