to rolling-contact fatigue. 440C stainless steel balls are used in a hardened condition, perform similarly to tool steels, and are ideal for anti-friction

bearings (rolling bearings). Balls are provided in the passivated condition.

They offer fair corrosion resistance. They resist alcohol, food environments, fresh water, many petroleum products, organic materials and steam.

Applications: Precision bearings, anti-friction bearings, special valves, conveyor belts and rollers, locking mechanisms, fasteners, ballpoint pens. 

They are used in foodstuff, medical instruments, quick couplings, recirculating ball bearings, knotting devices, oil refinery devices.
