Vintage Correct Parts is proud to offer, for your consideration,
A completely original and fantastic

One KILLER Vintage Gibson 1940's "dogear" P-90 pickup!

This is a rare bird. We're incredibly pleased to offer this fully original "1st generation" Gibson P-90 pickup. THIS is what was "new tech" in the 1940's - not some stupid bluetooth contraption - something that could catch lightning in a bottle. After Gibson mostly retired the "Charlie Christian" pickup, the next two developments in electrified guitar sound in Kalamazoo were the P-90 pickups - both in this form and in the "alnico staple" form. These early adjustable pole p-90's are most easily identified by the three-ply plastic bobbin - being black-white-black laminated. The baseplate also appears to be stainless steel, the lead wires cloth insulated instead of plastic and the keeper screws are slot head. This is the pickup you'd find in your 1940's ES-300, ES-150, ES-175 or possibly even an L-5. At 9.00k, it's wound hot for a p-90 of this era. It sounds incredible. We've had only one of these before and they get snatched up quickly - don't miss this one, it won't last long!
