On offer is an authentic, vintage NAVAJO hand wrought .925 sterling silver split band ring adorned with a fine hand cut and polished southwest desert natural petrified agatized wood cabochon stone. The ring is made up of a hand cut split band decorated with classic hand stamped arrowheads and other motifs. This classic Navajo ring is approx. size 5.75.

This ring is hallmarked STERLING, it is not hallmarked for maker which was quite common in earlier Native American jewelry prior to the 1970's. We believe this piece was created circa 1940's or perhaps earlier.

This classic ring was skillfully crafted in the traditional old NAVAJO technique with attention to detail and is in very good vintage condition, any white marks or spots are lighting reflections and not flaws (please see ALL photos for an accurate detailed depiction).

The beautiful, subtle desert hue petrified wood stone is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The color is mostly pale to charcoal gray.

The gem quality stone is firmly and securely set in a smooth silver bezel surrounded by silver rope, wire work and raindrop beading. The stone measures approx. 5/8" long x 3/8" wide.

The ring plaque is approx 7/8" long x  5/8" wide. The split band is approx. 1/4" tapering to 1/8" wide. The ring weighs 4.9 grams - .155  ounce. It will fit approx. size 5.75.

This traditional, well crafted vintage NAVAJO .925 Sterling Silver and Natural Southwest Petrified Agatized Wood ring created by a skilled Navajo artisan would make a fine addition to any Twentieth Century Native American Silver and Stone Jewelry, Southwest American Petrified Wood or Historic Cultural Arts and Crafts collection.
