"Jacob steals Esau's blessings"
The Stealing of the Blessings is a biblical story that appears at the end of Parashat Toldot, in chapter 27 of the book of Genesis. In his old age, Isaac calls Esau, his eldest son and his favorite, and asks him to prepare some delicacies for him in order to be blessed before his death. The sons' mother, Rebekah, hears this and acts quickly to That Jacob, her youngest and favorite son, will be the one who will receive the blessings. Under her instruction and guidance, Jacob impersonates Esau, thereby stealing the opinion of his father, who, due to the darkness of his eyes, thought it was Esau who was standing before him, and Jacob indeed receives the blessing.
