Description:


A handsome volume, undated but believed published circa 1880. Bound in red half leather and marbled paper-covered boards, spine with five raised bands, compartments with gilt lettering on morocco labels and gilt tooling. All edges marbled, slightly darkened to top edge. Externally sound and firm though with slight lean to spine. some darker spotting to leather on boards, a little wear to extremities. Marbled endpapers, clean and bright. Text-block remains sound and firm, a little foxing and browning to front/rear blanks. Pages lightly age-toned with a little spotting and other minor blemishes in places, else a very nice, tidy volume.
