This Raw Natural Clay is mined from a marine deposit in the Adirondack Mountains.

It is totally unprocessed aside from the larger stones and organic material that we take out when forming the material for shipping.

You will find bits of organic material, roots, twigs, pebbles, etc.. in this clay.

It can be further refined by wet or dry processing for making pottery.

It is in a fairly plastic state when it is shipped to you (not too wet, and not too dry) about like the consistency of modeling clay.

It is also a excellent addition for tilling into your garden for water retention and adding to potted plants.

We personally use this material for building our Iron smelting furnaces.

Listing is for a 4 pound block.

The block is roughly 8 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide, and 1 1/2 inches thick.
