A beautiful early 1900's cigarette case, no tobacco smell. Case does not appear to have been ever used for smoking. Family used as business card case. In very good condition for age. There is lettering in the underside of the case top, see photos for details.

I was told it is Karelian Birch Burl Wood. I do not have origin information and not sure of the specific wood.

Measures approx. 4 1/4" long, 3 1/4" wide, 5/8" high. Closes as intended, does not flop open.

A small wood chip at one side at top (dovetail hinge area). You can see detail in photos 18-20, it does not affect functioning of the case. Case has not been refinished or restored. There is a very small area where the lacquer is worn and doesn't show in my opinion, except under bright light. View photos for all conditions please.
