Der Sd2iec verfügt über eine Reset-Taste und die Gerätenummer kann geändert werden (von 8 bis 11).
Für die Stromversorgung des Geräts ist ein 5V USB-Ladegerät (z. B. von einem Handy ) und ein serielles Kabel erforderlich, um das Gerät an einen Computer anzuschließen.
