Vintage Japanese Art Pottery Vase. Floral Motif. Silver-plate weave overlay. No Markings. Interior needs cleaning. No chips or cracks. Light expected tarnish on silver plate overlay. Vase is in very good condition. It's not marked and the bottom. These Meiji art pottery pieces encased in silver plate basket weave. This is just a tad under 8" tall. Dating these seems to be a problem as the Meiji period ended in 1912 and some of the auction houses are saying they're from 1920 which technically no longer makes them from the Meiji period. It is a rare collectable. It is stunning in person. (MB)
