• Choice of size for our round 6” – 8” edible cake toppers. Simply select from the drop-down menu. We recommend selecting 7.5” if using an 8” tin. This will give you room to add a buttercream border and will prevent overhang on your cake as some cakes may dome.

Postage

Orders will be sent within a 2-day dispatch time using either Royal Mail 1^st or 2^nd class postage as selected by the buyer.   

 

Packaging

Your order will arrive safety sealed inside a food safe crystal-clear pocket. The pocket preserves the shelf-life of your order by 6 months if stored correctly.

A4 orders are sent in hard-backed envelopes to protect the product.

Icing Sheets

Modified starches (E1422, E1412), maltodextrin, humectant (E422), sugar, water, thickeners (E460i, E414, E415), dextrose, food colour (E171), emulsifiers (E435, E471, E491), preservative (E202), flavour, acidity regulator: (E330).

Edible Ink

Black/Yellow/Magenta/Cyan: water, humectant (E422), propylene glycol (E490), preservative (E202), food colours E122-carmoisine, E124-ponceau, E133, E102-tartrazine, acidity regulator (E330).

 

Allergy Information

Produced in an environment where the following allergens may be present: celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide, sulphites and tree nuts. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that any product is free from the 14 major allergies.

 

Tips to Maximise Your Product

• Store your topper(s) in a cool/dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and humidity, until ready to use.
• Ensure your hands and work surfaces are completely dry.
• Use clean dry scissors.
• Cut around your topper whilst the backing plastic is still attached – giving you more control.
• Carefully peel the toppers away from the plastic backing.
• Apply toppers to cakes/cupcakes that are at room temperature, not straight out of the fridge.
• Do not store decorated cakes/cupcakes in an airtight container or fridge. These are made from fondant icing and will react to the swing in temperatures and will appear wet.
• Do not handle toppers with wet hands or near a wet surface.
• Toppers can be applied directly to buttercream cakes/cupcakes (at room temperature).
• Toppers can be applied directly to fondant using a minimal dab of water. Too much water will create a morning dew effect and the topper will appear wet. You can also apply the topper to fondant using buttercream or edible glue.

Please note, fondant icing bundles are soft, and it is not recommended to use them free standing on top of a cake without first strengthening them with melted white chocolate and a cocktail stick.  

Peeling Your Topper from The Backing Sheet

An important thing to note is that you are trying to peel the backing sheet away from the fondant topper, not the other way around, since the fondant topper is delicate.

Ensure your room condition is suitable. A humid environment will make your topper sticky and will cling to the backing sheet.

For bundle orders, it is recommended that you cut around the shape whilst the backing sheet is attached.

If the plastic backing sheet doesn’t come away easily (usually a factor of humidity and moisture):

• Option 1: Place your topper in the freezer for around 30 seconds to remove the humidity/moisture.
• Option 2: Use the edge of a table to run the backing sheet back and forth over the tabletop corner and you should see it start to loosen. The icing should be face up.
