The Santa Cruz Heckler is one of the most famous full-suspension
mountain bikes that ever hit dirt. It was well known for being a great
descender with a good balance of climbing efficiency and plushness. The
Heckler was the precursor to the Superlight line of bikes. This bike
features an aluminum frame, Manitou SX R fork, Fox Vanilla coil shock, a
Shimano 3x9 drivetrain and Avid V-brakes. This bike would make a good
beginner mountain bike but it can also be used to get to school or to
ride dirt trails and singletrack.
With a 21.3" effective top tube and a 17" seat tube (c-t), this official
size is 14” and this bike should fit most riders in the 5'1" to 5'5"
range.
This bike is equipped with a Shimano XT rear derailleur, Shimano Deore
cranks, Deore front derailleur, Deore trigger shifters, Specialized
Verse Comp saddle, Titec stem, Avid V-brakes, Aheadset, Deore brake
levers, Velocity CliffHanger rims, Shimano Deore hubs, EVO platform
pedals, Specialized 26x2.0 rear tire and Forte lock-on grips and an
alloy bottle cage.
(used, this Santa Cruz is in Good to Very Good condition for a bike of this vintage. There are a few scuffs and scrapes here and there. The suspension is functional and operates adequately for a used bike, but could probably use some new oil and seals to freshen it up. Mechanically, the bike is tuned and upon re-assembly by a qualified mechanic, should be ready to ride. Please see all photos for close-up detail.)
Bike will be professionally packed with care.
