Late 19th century. Plated hilt with P form guard and wire wrapped black horn or composition grip. 33 3/4” slightly curved broad fullered single edged blade. The blade back inscribed WEYERSBERG & KIRSCHBAUM CE SOLINGEN. Blade shows minor rubbing to the plating only, in original preservative. Iron scabbard with stable arrested heavy oxidation. Hilt with virtually all original plating and just minor flaking. Grip excellent as well.
