I am pleased to have found for sale these Victorian buttons, likely French but the shop card is too small to read to be sure.

28 buttons in total across 5 cards, and in addition to this a matching set of 6 in a lighter colour palette.

Buttons of this age, brand new on cards, are super rare to find in these matching quantities.

Whilst not an expert, these buttons are likely to be 1850s 1860s and suit a dress bodice.
