A silky soft-toned  antique Turkish Panderma rug with a mihrab design.

Handwoven in mercerised cotton (vegetal silk) on a cotton warp and weft.

Panderma is located  on the southern shore of sea of Marmara  and is one of the major carpet weaving centres in Turkey.

COLOURS: please refer to images . 

TYPE:  handknotted, merserised cotton pile on cotton warp & weft.      AGE: circa 1900/1920s.       SIZE: 1.77m x 1.16m - 5ft.9" x 3ft.9"

ESTIMATED RETAIL VALUE: £800 to £1200. 

CONDITION: some areas of wear due to the age of this rug.
