WW1 Royal Flying Corps Silver plated Officers Mess Gravy Boat by Mappin & Webb.

The Royal Flying Corps (RFC) was the air arm of the British Army before and during the First World War until it merged with the Royal Naval Air Service on 1 April 1918 to form the Royal Air Force. During the early part of the war, the RFC supported the British Army by artillery co-operation and photographic reconnaissance

This Officers Mess Gravy boat is made by the famous Jewellers & Silversmith, Mappin & Webb (Marked to the base) in silver plate with a date letter for 1911. It’s in fine fettle with the odd minor plate loss and has the RFC motif with Kings crown to the left side. (20cm x 11cm x 10cm)
