You're looking at one of the most iconic classical Colnago frame - a 1979 Colnago Super in a red livery which acquired its fame a few years later with Giuseppe Saronni on the unforgettable 1982 Goodwood world championship tracks.

The Colnago Super frame was made out of Columbus SL tubing and was amongst the lightest of the time. This frame in size 55 merely weights 1855gr!

The frame is in pristine condition as it was professionally restored in Italy five years ago and left in a box since then.

The restoration work was conducted by one of the very few workshops in Lombardy which to this day still carries out the original paintwork for Colnago.

The frame went through a state of the art chroming and painting process - three-step (copper, nickel, chrome) chroming and high quality professional colour painting with deep dark effects. The outcome of this restoration work is stunning - the chromes are new and sturdy, not the slightest trace of rust after five years, the junction between the chrome and the painting is highly accurate, the painting is spotless, all the engravings are finely painted, and the high quality decals are thin, smooth with vivid colors.
