Greetings.  Offered for sale is the original artwork for the comic strip TOONERVILLE FOLKS by Fontaine Fox.  

Description:
-Art Type: Daily comic strip original artwork.
-Medium: Pen and ink over pencil/graphite on art board.
-Publisher: Bell Syndicate, Inc. 
-Publication Date: April 26 (probably 1930s given the Bell tag on the art which is seen on other 1930s Bell strips; 1924-1942, 1949-1955 were the years that the Bell Syndicate syndicated the strip). 
-Dimensions: 11" wide by 14.5" tall (board dimensions; image slightly smaller)
-Signed: Yes.  Signed "F. Fox". 
-Description: This is the original artwork for the daily comic strip TOONERVILLE FOLKS by Fontaine Fox.  Fox's long running strip focused on small town/country humor often relating to the local "Toonerville Trolley".  In this daily, a traveling salesman had found a new sales pitch for his bow ties with elastic bands.  A cute gag rendered in Fox's loose style.  ITS  

Condition
-The art is in excellent overall condition.  Minor age/handling wear. Pencil lines are visible in the cartoon. Pencil notes to reverse.

-Domestic buyer pays $25.00 for USPS priority mail shipping (includes tracking and insurance).  If the actual cost of shipping is less, I will refund the difference.
