Offering a new Fine Art quality archival pigment reprint of Edward Steichen's photo "Isadora Duncan in the Parthenon, Athens" 1921.  This is a high quality print, unframed, approximately 8x10" on 8 1/2x11" archival fine art paper, suitable for matting, framing and display.

Edward Steichen (1879-1973) was an American photographer, painter and museum curator. As a young man he believed photography could be an expressive art form akin to painting. He joined others with similar beliefs in the pictorialist, or photo secessionist school. These photographic pioneers imitated the softer focus of paintings in their works. In the early years their photos were reminiscent of paintings from the Impressionist, Post-Impressionist and Symbolist movements. Later he became the first modern fashion photographer and for years worked for Vogue and Vanity Fair, as well as many advertising agencies. During this time he was known as the best known and highest paid photographer in the world.
