This is a calendar topper/advertising card produced by Wolf & Company of Pittsburgh, PA. This card features an early Santa Claus / Father Christmas figure in a horse drawn sleigh loaded with toys from the Victorian era.
The card is in poor condition, the right side has started to break off and has been mended with archival tissue tape (see repair in photo). There is paper loss around the edge. Nevertheless this is a rare item and I cannot find another example of this work by Wolf & Company, which was located on 617- 619 Arch Street.
The advertising is for L.H. Brendlinger of Norrisown PA, seller of Dry goods, clothing, carpets and more.
