This listing is for ONE  PAIR LMAHL V2™ (Large Mahl V2™) and ONE PAIR B&C DE120 driver and one set jumper wires and Loctite.

I have discontinued the hole set for the B&C DE-110 driver and replaced those with a set of holes for the new Celestion CDX1-1412. There has been interest expressed in this new driver and since I have never had a request for DE-110's I have changed the clamp plate to reflect buyer interest. At this time I do not intend to offer the CDX driver so you will need to find them on your own.

If you think that Ti diaphragms are the ultimate tweeter upgrade for these larger Klipsch tweeters you will be stunned with the tonal quality and superior fidelity improvements these DE10's bring to the table over anything else I have found yet.

For information on what exactly this did for sound quality please go to the Klipsch Forum and under the Technical/Modifications sub go to the "DaveA's Fabulous New Improved Super Tweeters 2.0" thread posted by Claude on 11-7-19. No I did not pick that title he did.

As you will note on some of the pictures you can see the clamp plate and lens body were machined as one part now which gives us the same lens cavity depth but eliminates the section that used to be taken up
by the clamp plate with it's straight wall cylinder. The third picture gives a side view that demonstrates this. The price will remain the same but the quality of the sound you will hear is going up.

I tout the versatility of these and besides being the only true drop in replacement tweeter for Klipsch OEM tweeters as listed below it is also the most versatile since there are four common bolt patterns to mount drivers to as noted in picture nine.  Included with these are jumpers that should fit any Klipsch scenario and a small tube of Loctite and a "Read Before Install" set of instructions. Please read this whole listing for all the information.

Klipsh speakers these Large MAHL™ tweeters will fit into according to Klipsch information. No I have not physically done so but all require the 2.54cm tweeter lens which the large MAHL is based on. Full refund on my tweeters for any speakers listed here if you order and they do not fit.

These are machined from solid  6061 bar stock to precisely fit anywhere the Klipsch K-79, K-76, K-75, K-792  or other same sized Klipsch cast plastic horns are used in Vintage or current production. The same screw hole pattern so all you have to do is remove the old and screw in the new. The DE-10 however is large enough that it will be a two step process. First you screw the lens itself in as already described. Then you will have to remove the mid and woofer and then screw the clamp plate + DE-10 in from the back side and then reinstall your mid and woofer.  Very heavy duty these will never have resonance problems. Proper length screws for the drivers will be provided with these and with drivers like the DE110 and DE120 it is critical to not use screws that are to long since they can unseat the magnet off the driver.

At this time the very best driver is the B&C DE10 which is also cheaper by $60 over the next best which is the DE120 or DE110. The DE120/110 horn lens combo is a direct drop in which will fit as a complete assembly through the front of the motorboard and is the easiest install. The superior sounding DE10 will require a two step install with the horn lens mounted first and then the clamp plate/driver assembly installed to the back side of the horn lens through the hole where the mid range horn goes after you have removed the mid range horn. This would also be true if you use the Faital HF100 driver.

No other horn lens system allows you the versatility and choice these do.

If you start looking for tweeter drivers for these horn lenses considering the extra space you have to work with the variety is pretty darned large. Just because they will fit does not mean they will work without changing crossover components or at all. You can screw some huge drivers on to the optional 1 3/8 threaded clamp plate available in one of my other listings but I certainly would not use that old K-55-V you have sitting around for this purpose. I guarantee these to fit and I do not guarantee them to work with any and all drivers you might find and decide to stick onto whatever you have. Things just don't work that way.  At this time though the DE10 appears to work everywhere with no L-Pad or crossover alteration from OEM specs needed.

Along with experimenting though comes the potential for problems and just because it will fit in there does not mean that it will work right without some crossover work and or adding an L-Pad. The DE10's will work right with no additional tinkering needed and the DE110 and DE120 may be hot enough to need an L-Pad if there is too large of an efficiency mismatch. As time goes on and other drivers are used I will be collecting data and be able to make specific install recommendations if needed. Please tell me about what you do so I can add your findings to the data.

I have these in stock. If the demand is greater than I expect it may take a few days to machine more. Generally ship time will be one or two days but could be as long as five if I get swamped with orders.  When ordering the kits with drivers if I run out of drivers the delivery time will be subject to how fast I can get more in. I will do my best to keep ample on hand but they are not cheap and I have no idea what the demand will be so until I know what to keep on the shelf I may run out of drivers at times. One set will fit a medium priority mail box and this is how each set will ship.

Most Vintage Klipsch, well really every one of the many I have tested, need to be recapped to sound their best. Virtually every old capacitor I have checked is significantly higher in ESR than new ones are and many have tolerance issues in addition. Yes it does make a difference.

I May be willing to ship to you outside of the lower 48 states but you will need to contact me and arrange for this so I can cover shipping costs and shipping outside the USA will not be free..
