This stunning statue depicts a man and his dog in the Art Nouveau style. Created in the early 20th century, this piece is made from a painted chalk composition. The unknown artist was clearly inspired by Ferdinand Opitz's work, as evidenced by the style of the sculpture.

The statue measures 11 inches in length and 14 inches in height, making it a medium-sized decorative collectible that would look beautiful in any home.  There is some heavy crazing to the paint but no breaks or chips.  Base has quite a bit of paint wear.  No Markings.  I didn't lift the felt to see if there is a maker on the bottom but being chalkware...usually no signature.
