what they are buying and appreciate the value of rare collectibles like this.

Description:
In
Panzer Commander, the players can play selected missions or participate in one of six campaigns,
each of which consists of a series of linked missions, the outcome of which will determine the course of the campaign.
Players can play on either side and are given a selection of Axis and Allied tanks.
Successful players are given command of a platoon of tanks. In
Panzer General 2, players fight on the Living Battlefield.
Featuring the heightened realism of hand-rendered maps--30 battlefields that are faithful to the real ones of WWII--
the Living Battlefield also showcases detailed combat units. Battles rage through World War II's eastern and western fronts,
northern Africa, and even the continental United States.
Will you fight as a Wehrmacht officer, or perhaps lead your comrades in the Soviet Army?
You may want to hit the beaches at Salerno and Normandy as an American or British general.
No matter which path you choose, you will need all your skills to triumph.

Amazon 4 or 5 Star Reviews:

5 / 5 stars The details of the tanks was fantastic........a great deal of fun to play.

4 / 5 stars Commanding a virtual tank is awesome!

4 / 5 stars This is an old and classic great sim
On Windows 98, this game was a dream to play.
I had to use a joystick/game pad to get the tanks to move around better.
It takes some doing and not getting yourself blow up all the time.
This is multi tasking driving and you have to stop and shoot and
not do both like in modern tanks sims. Graphic is Ok and plain,
you need a good eyes to spot the AT guns ready to pin you.
Too bad they never updated it. I believe it runs on Win XP,
but not sure about Windows Vista and Win7.
I think you need a special program to allow you play on those OS.
There are some around I use them. Too bad I love old DOS & Win95/98 games.
Wish I could play all my old favorites. Thye were simple and easy to play like this one.
Never get tired playing it.

Gamespot Reviewer comments:
"Parts of Panzer Commander are quite well done.
The variety of vehicles is excellent, with more than 20 drivable tanks from
Germany, Russia, the United States, and Britain and 28 support vehicles.
The terrain modeling is the best of the current crop of tank sims.

There are 10 scenarios for each nationality and 6 campaigns - 3 German and 3 Russian.
The game also offers Direct3D acceleration, a powerful scenario editor, and excellent multiplayer support
for up to 6 players over networks and the Internet. Panzer Commander can be immersive and fun.
T
he armored vehicles themselves look good and are modeled with a reasonable degree of accuracy,

Panzer Commander puts you in the role of tank platoon commander. You do battle from the commander's, gunner's,
and driver's stations of your tank. By design, the units under your direct command are limited to the tanks in your platoon.
This is a more realistic approach.

The game largely succeeds in capturing the feel of tank-against-tank combat from a World War II perspective.
if you're looking for a not-too-serious tank sim that enables you to experience World War II armored combat,
Panzer Commander could be the ticket.
