Hybrid powering allows the preamp section to be driven by (1) 12AX7 - to maintain that true tube sound - while, the soild state power technology picks up the rest. Sporting just 3 controls - "Volume", "Shape" and "Gain - it's hard to believe the plethora of sounds you can get out of this thing. However, Orange's "Shape" function has risen to mythical heights since it's introduction. This allows players to tune, fine-tune and finer-tune their distortion on a micro level - no pun intended. There's no way that you won't be able to get the exact sound your looking for, with this metal-machine.
