This book is a history of the early years of the development of telephone coverage in Tennessee, beginning basically in the late 1890s. The book is cloth hardcover with gold gilt lettering and graphics, 264 pages with 58 photos plus the large photo at both the front and back of the book. Laid in the book is a SIGNED office memo/note from Jim Spears, a long-time employee and officer for BellSouth. In that note he is writing to the person to whom he is giving this particular copy. Spear's name appears on pages 257, 258, and 260, perhaps more, but that was what I found in just a quick look through the text. The book is in Like New condition and will be carefully packaged to insure safe shipping.
