Offered is the vintage English-language book "A Glossary of Cuban Woods", written by Juan de Dios Tejada y Sainz and published in 1947 by Editora Mercantil Cubana, S.A. in Havana, Cuba. This appears to be a first edition, with the copyright date matching the printing date (although the cover is marked "1948"). There are many black and white photos and illustrations of Cuban trees and tree bark, seeds, leaves, etc. This is a rare and maybe unique find; at the time of original listing I could not find any other copies for sale on eBay or anywhere else.

The thin book is approx. 7" x 5" and contains 82 pages. It is in very good condition. The textured hard cover has only light wear, the silver words on the front still easily readable. There is no cracking inside either the front or back covers. The white endpapers have browned but are otherwise clean. I see no missing or torn pages and all of the pages are well-attached to the binding and generally clean and clear, with only occasional light spotting. The binding strings are visible in the middle of most pages. I see no writing in the book.

I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions. I will do my best to answer them!

Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
