Adjustable Landscape Lens invented by ML de Pulligny N°1 around 1897,
Adjustable Landscape Lens invented by ML de Pulligny around 1897, at the time of the so-called “pictorialist” movement. Height 63 mm. Focusing by rack and pinion (failing on this model). This lens has a variable focal length (approximately in the 250/500 mm range) by easily modifying the distance between the two groups of lenses using the rack. Another special feature is that the lens has two 12-blade iris diaphragms. They are located outside the two optical groups (symmetrical menisci), one in front and one behind. These diaphragms are graduated. This lens has the serial number 15972, it is indicated as a number 2 but this name is incorrect given the focal length and the size of the lens. Note that a modification was made to the lever which controls the second diaphragm.
