This listing is for 54 volumes, complete set of 1987 printing of Great Books of the Western World. Published by Encyclopedia Britannica in conjunction with faculty of the University of Chicago. Original printing 1952.

Condition:  All but about 12 are in excellent, I would say unused condition. I tried opening about 20 of them and the bindings are tight, (some you could even hear the new, creak when opening them). The exteriors are good, colors are bright and the writing on the binding is good although one is slightly faded. No odors at all.  Of the other 12: 5 have dented corners -1 bottom right, 4 on upper right (35, 36, 37, 38, 39), two have a line or mark on the outside cover (1,41) two have very slight fading on on the edge (17,18) a few have scuffs on the gold (11,40,45). Except for the corners, the other imperfections are hardly noticeable.  There may be a few other tiny marks or scuffs I missed, but really, these are in excellent condition.

Shipping: These will ship media mail, in 2 boxes. The cost on this listing is for one box. We will ship the second at no cost to you.
