Up for sale is a neat folk art / outsider art carved wood cane. Cane looks to be 1940s or so. Has a note on it that indicates whose collection it came out of and that it was made by Almeron Lyman of Roulette Pennsylvania. I'm not sure what animal it is supposed to be. Color looks like a fox or bird. Maybe a chicken. Form looks a horse or something. Nice colors and surface. Cool piece of outsider art. Made from a root or stick with a good knot. Sticker with info has some age too. It probably dates to the 1960s-1970s. Looks to be an older canning label. Cool piece of local history too. Looks like the name Lyman goes back a long way in Roulette.

Found recently in an antique mall in Eastern Indiana.

Cane is 34 inches long.

Condition: Nice surface. All original paint. Good colors. Has a split near the mouth. Some older losses to the top (nose area). Despite the splits it is still stable. Not moving. See photos and video.
