-Description: This is the original artwork for the Sunday comic strip ALEXANDER SMART, ESQ. (and its topper strip, DAFFY DOODLES) by Charles "Doc" Winner.  Elmer was a Sunday only strip by Doc Winner, who also created the comic strips Tubby and Elmer.  The "Smart Alex" thinks that he's getting one over on his wife (and it's not a bad plan at that with the help of a friendly policy officer), but she gets the last laugh.  The topper strip, Daffy Doodles was a gag-a-panel strip based on sayings and cliches suggested by readers.  This is a nicely designed and inked Sunday featuring the title character and his wife on a shopping trip.  BEE   

Condition: 

-The art is in excellent overall condition.  Minor age/handling wear.  Pencil notes to reverse.

-Domestic buyer pays $25.00 for USPS priority mail shipping (includes tracking and insurance).  If the actual cost of shipping is less, I will refund the difference.
