XRmarine flexible impellers can be used in various pumps for engine cooling, bilge pumping, transfer duties, and general purposes. They undergo strict quality processes to ensure reliable, efficient, and long-lasting performance.Impeller Replacement - Key Points:
1,Replace all impellers at least once a year or sooner, depending on engine usage. While a properly installed impeller can last for several years, it is advisable to follow a preventative maintenance schedule.2,To replace an impeller, remove the end cover screws and use Impeller Removal Tool or channel lock pliers to grip the hub. Avoid using screwdrivers as they may damage the pump body and can be hazardous in confined spaces.
3,Always carry spare impellers onboard for emergencies. The impeller is a crucial component of the engine cooling system and should be treated as such.
4,Grease new impellers before installation to facilitate insertion into the pump bore and provide added protection during initial priming. After replacing the gasket and end cover, the pump is ready for use.
