Vintage Hickory Chair James River Plantation Collection bachelor's chest. Wonderful smaller sized piece with a good deal of detail and presence. Four drawers with an additional sliding surface just under the top. The piece's top and drawer fronts have beautifully book matched burl walnut veneers, all framed by banded edges. Antiqued brass Chippendale-style hardware. The chest sits on a base with a shaped apron on both the front and sides. The front corners have a delicately chamfered edge. The drawers' secondary wood is solid oak, and they are dovetailed on all four corners.
In near mint to mint condition. Structurally perfect. The drawers open and close smoothly. The color is even overall. The top has been professionally refinished. No nicks, dings or wear. No smoking, no pet estate.
