It is in good used condition, with some storage wear. Here are the defects:

*The first picture is stock footage and NOT the exact loco

1. The loco's wiring connection to the back section is broken, you will need to fit new m/f 8 pin socket allowing you to connect/disconnect the tender

2. The loco's back section's light is broken off, this has been re-glued but is broken again.

3. There are small loose parts in the box

4. The top for the smoke stack is missing

5. The box has major shelf wear

6. The whistle mount is broken, it is included but needs proper re-attaching.

7. Smoke function is not tested.

The wiring is (coming from loco, see photo that shows the decoder outputs)

1st 4 set

Pin 1 on right side

pin 1 = left pickup = grey

pin 2 = right pickup = green

pin 3 = m+ = Black

pin 4 = m- = Brown

2nd 4 set

pin 5 = + = brown

pin 6 = - = blue

pin 7 = + = red

pin 8 = - = white

The DCC functions were tested and the motor control and loco lights works well.

The motors themselves are turn over but need a good clean and lube as they turn slow, but no noise is present - just old lubricant.

The speaker works but I was unable to activate the sound functions.

the speaker should be either 5&6 or 7&8 but as I said I cannot get it going.

The tender light was not tested.

Note: there are three motors on this unit, 2 on the loco and 1 on the tender. the loco will drive without the tender.

The side drive shaft does not provide the power for the traction bogeys, it is cosmetic as each powered bogey has its own eletric motor.

See pics for details. Sold as is.

It is extremely heavy and will be expensive to post, I will post it but would prefer collection. However, I only charge actual shipping plus ebay fees, see please wait for invoice before you pay.

NO RETURNS POLICY:  The vast majority of my customers are legitimate, credible, and discerning buyers. I belong to my local model rail club and volunteer at the local heritage railway.  It is this type of folk who buy most of my items.  They know what they want and often ask questions to ensure it is exactly what they want.  I strongly encourage this.  It has been my experience that, in the rare instance of problems, good buyers report damage or problems within 1-2 days of delivery, send photos, and engage with me to resolve.  This keeps everyone happy.

However, there exists a very small set of buyers that damage items and then try to return by claiming item was not as described.  As I test and photo all items (stated as working) before shipping I rarely have issues with the description not matching the item and can provide evidence to back this up.  The ebay policy is clear, if you return an item you damaged then I will deduct the damage value from any refund.
