Franck Muller Chronograph 7000CC

This piece is probably not what you expect to see when we mention the name Franck Muller. But before they were known for their Tonneau-shaped pieces with a very specific design language, Franck Muller was known for his beautiful complicated round watches from the early 90’s.

Harking back to that early design language, the 7000 CC features a curvaceous 39mm case in stainless steel with screw-in bars and a thick domed bezel surrounding its dial, and pump pushers. Speaking of the dial, it is absolutely stunning with its black centre, brushed silver outer tachymeter track, fantastic applied Breguet-style 18k white gold 12 and 18k applied hour markers. The three sunken chronograph registers are also finished in silver, and topped with blued hands. Such is the beauty in this design and renewed interest in this period of Franck Muller that Grail Watch has recently brought back a sold out limited edition run of pieces from this era.

Powering it is the FM 7000 calibre, with platinum rotor for its automatic winding.

Currently mounted to an aftermarket 'gator-style strap with FM buckle in a short size.

This particular example would date from the 2000's and presents in excellent neo vintage condition. The case is largely free of marks, with some scratching on the top of its upper lugs, and some minor hairlines around the case. There are also some dents in between the 12 o'clock lugs, mostly concealed by the strap unless you're really looking. Please see images for full condition details. Service history is unknown. Currently running at around +11 seconds per day at 290 degrees of amplitude. Chrono starts, stops and resets as it should.

Comes with outer box, inner box and Watch Vault cleaning cloth. No papers.
