Gold Yarrow (Achillea Filipendulina Parker) also known as Yellow Yarrow or Parker Yarrow is an upright, clump-forming perennial.
The long-lasting golden flowers grow in dense, flattened clusters that can measure up to 4 inches across. They are blooming starting early summer until frost.
Deadheading spent Gold Yarrow flowers will promote new blooms and keep the plant compact.
Yarrow makes excellent cut flowers. They also dry well for crafts and dried flower arrangement.

Start Yarrow seeds indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the last frost. Use a starting mix and trays or small pots. Press the seeds into the soil but do not cover. Light helps germination. Keep the soil moist, but not soaked during germination.
You can also start seed outdoors after the danger of frost has passed and is warm enough; the night time temperatures staying in the upper 40's or warmer.
